Greetings of Peace!

If you have an existing cPanel license with us, you can now update your server to 11.90.0.17 version of cPanel.

Please run the following commands via your terminal/SSH Client

nano /etc/cpupdate.conf

and make sure the result is the same as below or update if not (VERY IMPORTANT)

CPANEL=11.90.0.17
RPMUP=manual
SARULESUP=manual
STAGING_DIR=/usr/local/cpanel
UPDATES=never

Once the file is updated with the above result, save it and exit. Hit CTRL+X to exit and hit "y" to save and confirm.

After this, please run the following command to open a Screen session:

screen

the update your CentOS system

yum update -y

After updating your OS, run again the below command

nano /etc/cpupdate.conf

and make sure the result is the same as below or update if not (VERY IMPORTANT)

CPANEL=11.90.0.17
RPMUP=manual
SARULESUP=manual
STAGING_DIR=/usr/local/cpanel
UPDATES=never

Once again, save it and exit.

Now, update your cPanel version system:

gblicensecp_update

After this, if you get stuck with a cPanel license expire issue, run this via SSH Client like your Terminal, Putty, or Bitvise SSH Client

gblicensecp

It should work by now and one last thing, run again the below command

nano /etc/cpupdate.conf

and make sure the result is the same as below or update if not (VERY IMPORTANT)

CPANEL=11.90.0.17
RPMUP=never
SARULESUP=never
STAGING_DIR=/usr/local/cpanel
UPDATES=never

Once again, save it and exit.

This ensures your cPanel is not automatically updating without your permission as most of the time when there is an upgrade of the system, it messes up our licensing permission so we have to be careful and only manually update your version when we say you do so as it is been tested for 7 days already that worked for our own test servers and others.

Again, if you still have an issue and the above steps do not work for you, just run again "gblicensecp" command until it works up to 3 times and if not, contact us immediately via ticket to check your server for you.

We will need your root credentials to check and fix the issue and will let you know what causes the issue and how we have fixed it so you know. Due to we assumed many will be needing our help in regards, we cannot jump in via Remote support session at this time. To help you with any of your concern in regards to this upgrade, we seek your trust that we ensure to you, we are here to help and not mess with your server. If you cannot trust us to get access with your server then we cannot help you.
